My friend's Rover Metro has a dash warning light with a caravan symbol on it.
(it doesn't light up)
We can't work out what it could be for, and the handbook is no help.
Any ideas?

I think this comes on if a caravan or trailer is in tow. If connected correctly, it lights up to show when electrics are not working correctly, just like any other warning light.

AFAIK its an indicator warning light for the trailer indicators - i.e. it flashes when the trailer's indicators flash. If it doesnt flash it could be that the trailer indicators aren't working, or that the tow electrics are not wired up to this warning light.
I might be wrong, tho!
