The latest NewScientist contains an article on the latest test flights of the Moller Sky Car....seems to be going relatively successfully. Estimated cost of the first production models:

One small problem to fix, it will require eight 650cc Wankel engines to provide redundancy in case one fails!
The major remaining issue seems to be air traffic control
