All & Any - M2 Roadworks !! M20 & M26 too!! - Smileyman

Quick heads up message for anyone planning to drive through Kent, there are multiple roadworks taking place over the next few weeks, including some road closures too. (Especially at weekends). This is in addition to the Brexit related lane and speed restrictions London bound on the M20 in the Ashford area. Saturday was chaotic, for some journeys took hours!!

Check online maps before you set out on your journey.

Perfect timing for the summer holidays!! - thanks for the heads up.

Coming from Yorkshire I've had to endure awful roadworks on the A14 leading to the M11 for a few years as well when aiming for the Dover ferry ports. I've tended to use the M2 as of late.

Just looked at my Tomtom traffic page - that looks grim with a major road closure on the M2 and the A2 has over an hour of delays just to cover a couple of miles - joy!

20 minutes in a taxi, 2 hour 20 on a plane and I'm 1,000+ miles away in the sun.

With fuel at €1.55 diesel and €1.70 petrol it becomes very expensive to drive in Italy with exchange rate of almost 1:1.
