SEAT Leon - Knocking sound - Mazda3Man

Engaging drive in 1st gear when the car is warm/hot I get a knocking sensation. Does anybody have any ideas of the cause and how to fix. Doesn't happen when the car is cold so not user error!

I'm unsure what you mean by knock "sensation"

However if it only does it warm you could try the following;

Bleed clutch

Check gearbox oil level.

Even better change gear box oil using the correct type.

It is difficult to diagnose a car over an internet forum, as it could be a multitude of components. However as it only does it in one gear it could be a gear box problem.

If you can explain what you mean by sensation that would be more helpful.

Manual gearbox under 10,000 miles

You say its done a low mileage but you do not mention its age. If its under 3 years it should be under warranty (providing you have had it serviced correctly). If this applies take it to a dealer.
