Nissan Note 1.6 E11 - 1st gear judder on cold start - Shakir

Hi

Ive noticed a judder on pulling away in 1st gear from a cold start, all the other gears are fine and there no revving when changing gears either. Once the car is warmed up it seems fine in 1st gear.

I don't know if its me not hitting the biting point or whether clutch is on its way out. Clutch fluid is fine with no leaks. Any ideas?

Many cars (including mine) suffer from clutch judder particularly from cold. It won’t necessarily get any worse, although it could be the sign of an oil seal leaking or engine/ gearbox mount failing. Unless it gets worse it’s probably best to just live with it - if you can, as the alternative is to have the clutch assembly replaced, if the other causes have been eliminated.
