Peugeot 5008 - Limp mode after refuel

Peugeot 5008 - Limp mode after refuel - peugotbob

Peugeot 5008 1.6 HDi.

Filled it up with diesel - drove for about 1 mile then the car seemed to go into some sort of limp mode as I drove up a little hill. No warning lights.

Pulled over on the level. Turned ignition off and on - and everything then seemed OK.

Plugged in a basic OBD2 scanner a short while later and couldn't find any stored or pending codes.

Any ideas?

Bad diesel? Or could it be that overfilling the tank + going up a hill messed up the EVAP system? Does a diesel like this even have an EVAP system to mess up?

When was the fuel filter last changed?

It's been main dealer serviced to schedule.

It definitely had a new fuel filter about 17,000 miles ago during 2016 service - schedule says 1.6 HDi only needs a diesel fuel filter every 25,000 miles.

I can't find the receipt for the 2017 service right now. Book says 2017 was only an interim service so probably not.
