To save me ploughing through the whole lot, does anyone know which cars are rated 'highly recommended'?
So, are you asking others to plough through the CBC breakdown for you then?
I thought someone might have done it already!
Needless to say, you are back to:
Focus range
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Ford had 2nd lowest claims cost in 2003 Warranty Direct Reliability Index index and Focus an excellent rating of 20

Let's see the rection if I say that the most highly-rated car on this site is a 1998 S-reg Mondeo 2.0 GLX.
Isn't HJ's a 98R though?
Actually Mondeos are good if you like tough 'n cheap with a bit of fun driving, if not actual style, thrown in.
HJ rates the Merc E-Class W211 as Very Highly Recommended.
And just so I understand how the scheme of things work,
wouldn't you be doing HJ the biggest favour by ploughing through the CbyC breakdown so as to get the stats up. Then, when you get to a highly recommended, following the links to the manufacturers/ dealers / brokers websites so they know how useful this site is?
or have I misunderstood how the link thing works?

Bit of a useless question unless you know what you want from a car. You might need a people carrier and I recommend a lotus elise!!!
MINI gets a very good write up (*unless it's yellow with 17" alloys)
Bit of a broad question though, surely you'd be better following FiF's advice.
