Lock-ups: where are they advertised? - BigBoab
Seems my parents actually want to put their car in their garage, so all my accumulated Saab junk has to find another home. I thought I'd rent a lock-up here in Glasgow and stick the stuff in there along with my mopeds. Checked the yellow pages - no rental companies. Checked with some letting agencies - don't do lock ups. Tried the council - no longer renting lock-ups.

So where do people advertise lock-ups for rent?

Tried the local free papers and exchange and mart - no success. I'll buy loot etc. a see what they have. Might be a bit of a lost cause as somebody a few streets away sold their garage for 9 grand!

A lock up/garage was for sale in my street so I thought that I would enquire as to how much it was going for. £9k would be cheap as this was going for £70k (but apparently it was a double one)!

Why not either:

(i) get rid of all your junk ;-)

(ii) find a storage company where you can keep stuff (should be plenty in yellow pages) make sure you get a reputable one though - also depending on the value of your items check if you are insured for loss.

good luck!
