I?m currently wrestling with what to do as my current company car ? Astra 1.8 CDX estate goes EOL in June. As my company allowance is pitiful ? a shade under £300 ? I think I?ll stay in the scheme and get another. Having decided to go down the diesel line I?ve finally come up with two options ? Focus 115 TDCI estate or V40 115 SE. I?m awaiting test drives but I am pondering whether the V40 is worth the extra £100 it will cost me in tax and extra charges Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Just been there, exactly same situation. EOL on Scenic.

I got the Focus TDcI 115 Gia Estate on trial for the w/e.(great lease price 285 month) I thought it was a stunning car, really quick - Managed to shock several boy racers who thought an old bloke in a Focus Estate with Labrador in back was a pushover at the lights, roundabouts and every where else they try and carve you up. Suckered all of em. Handled well too, Even showed the boy (late at night) how I could 4 wheel drift or oversteer it round roundabouts with just throttle control. Lovely gearbox and great stgeering feel.(dog hated the car tho, she spent most of her time flung against the rear screen).
I couldnt hack the quick clear windscreen tho, did my eyes in at night and I got a pain in the throttle ankle after about an hour.

So I went and ordered a Laguna Dynamique DCi120. Had great fun testing loads of cars for a month. But thats another story

Funny that, similar initial reaction on Mondeo. Now don't notice it at all, except in daylight fog.

Needs a sparkly clean screen though, off to glass cleaner thread!
