2005 renault modus 1.6 petrol auto - where is the *!*@* injector rail? - modus ron

following breaking down with a bad misfire and car going into limp home mode the fault was diagnosed as the number 1 injector has failed, I got towed home and bought a new injector (£81.00 !!!!)

having taken off all the usual air vents etc from above the top of the engine I am still unable to locate the injector rail, can anyone please let me know where it is and how to change the injector when I find it.

The price for the injector sounds about right.You need to be careful here,as Renault cylinders are numbered from gearbox end.I would suggest anyone asking the question where is the injector rail would be better off taking the car to a garage.We are talking pressurised fuel here that needs to be handled with care.
