Vauxhall Zafira B 150 HP diesel - Performance drop - chrisv1

I put my Zafira in for a service and when I got it back its accelleration was seriously down

The garage diagnosed a air mass sensor problem and a new one was fitted but without any improvement

Disconnection of the connection to the air mass sensor restored the performance, but after a minute the engine goes into limp mode

They are stumped

Any ideas?

Is this a Vauxhall garage or an independant clutching at straws.

This is an independent garage

The last time I had a problem I used the main dealer to diagnose. They told me I needed a new inlet manifold at £1500. I went to my independent they fitted for £1100. This did not fix the problem and they found it was the Exhaust recirculation valve!

I think Zafira diagnostics are not very good.

Check the dpf. The dpfe senaor may be old an working but not measuring de pressure acuratly. I think you need to clean the dpfe and also check eloys tank

Opel/Vauxhall don't use Eolys - if the DPF is an issue, it'll set diagnostic codes.
