Ford S-MAX Zetec 2010 - Ford 6000 CD Radio - Locked - S-Maxer

Hi,

After getting a new battery fitted, we lost the radio code.

After seeing some similar topics, I tried inputting the suggested 'unlock' code & failed.

I'm now on attempt number 7.

Can anyone offer any guidance on how to input the radio code ?

My serial number is M090002.

I got a code of the suggested linked site (www.pumapeople.com) = 6070

What buttons and / or sequence do you have to input the code ?

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Go to youtube, type in 'how to input ford radio code'

Then stop. Watch the videos repeatedly - MAKE NOTES !

If you continue to input it incorrectly, then eventually the radio will completely lock up.

Hi RobJP....

I've tried holding 1 & 6 to get the serial no. as suggested on the forums.

I think I might be using the wrong serial numbers ? Do you know which numbers to use ?

after holding down 1 & 6, the first set of numbers that appear are :

05-03-07

Do you know if this is the serial number ? Cheers

However, if your serial number is wrong then it will never work. Best to obtain a set of removal tools and pull the radio out to check the serial number is correct. You can try pressing Buttons #2 and #6 together, or sometimes #2 and #5 works, too. But, if you're not certain of the serial number, best to pull the radio out a couple of inches and read the serial number off the white label. No need to disconnect anything, just pull the radio out a little bit.

Edit....................I don't think that radios in 2010 cars use codes at all!

Hi Galaxy,

I haven't tried to remove the radio as yet.

Just pressed 2 & 6 and a series od numbers scroll through automatically... not too sure which are the number to input for the code ?

I think you have the wrong serial number.A 2010 Ford will have no code,or one starting with the letter "V".

Hi,

It does ask for a code after i press the volumne button (ON)...

It's on attempt number 8 now......

Next step is to remove the radio to confirm you have the correct serial number.
