Toyota - Million mile truck - Pete Mansell

There's a news item on this site, about Toyota completely dismanting a truck in America, which has accumulated 1 million miles. Am I being cynical, but can the only reason for this is to determine how money can be saved in the future by not over-engineering vehicles.

I read any article like that as a marketing puff piece. Lookey here - Toyotas are good for one meelion miles....best propaganda since Clarksons Toyota pickup piece on Top gear....

I wouldn't think it had original seats with the size of that guy.....;)
