Checked Backroom and Google, but does anyone know if a list exists showing the loadspaces of common classy estates. Either that or if you happen to know the l/space of next to newest E Class, V70 A4 & A6, Omega we can build our own right here...
Perhaps I could visit the websites of all these one by one but for example SAAB's doesn't list the l/space for the 9-5

Not sure if 'current model' is intended to apply only to E-Class or all listed vehicles, but anyway, for a current model (P26) Volvo V70, using the VDO method of 1 litre boxes:
485 litres - To the top edge of upright rear backrest
745 litres - To the top edge of front seats, with folded rears
1641 litres - To the roof lining, with folded rear seats
My guess is that the E-Class is the largest you will find.

...did you know that the new Audi A4 Avant has LESS boot space (with all the seats in the upright position) than the saloon?
I do not have the VDO numbers, but I have the brochures at home as we were going to buy one. But the load space numbers did not add up. A prime example of style over substance, surely?

I think the same applies yo the Alfa 156 Sportwagon. No doubt No Dosh will know. Where is he anyway??
|
And a Beemer 3 series Touring, when loaded to the bottom of the rear windows and then compared to a saloon boot.
Buy a V70 and have style WITH substance (IMHO anyway!)

This is spooky - the SAAB 9-5 saloon VDA = 500, the estate = 416 with rear seats up, 1490 with rear seats flat. Where is all the space going to? Does Stephen Hawking know about this?

We always suggest the customer bring whatever it is he wants fit in,with him to try.All the various methods of measuring, can only add to confusion.
I do know theres more total cabin space in an Austin Maxi, than a Focus.I read that on a link from here, quite recently.
Oh, & More in a LDV Pilot, than a swb Transit, &...
Sorry,I've put the tape measure away, now.
I'll get me coat.

Top Gear mag has all the figures you need with seat up/down.
Love the one for the Land Cruiser which I seem t remember has about 280 when seats up - funny it is the only car that I have come across where I have to climb into the boot to get something from behind the back seats.

|
That's with all 8 seats up. The more normal config is only with five.
