Ford Focus - Flashing light - Glasgow26

Hi there

I've got a 65 plate Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost 125. Everything going great with the car except I've noticed that there is a red flashing exclamation mark light. This is only on when the car is stationary and the engine is switched off - it hasn't come on when the car is moving or when the engine is on. I had a look in the handbook and it says that it is something to do with a message being stored in the information display. However, the information display is telling me that all systems are normal.

Anyone shed any light on this?

A red exclamation light is usually to do with the handbrake.Does your car have an electronic handbrake and its flashing to tell you to apply it? If not then a trip to the dealer is in order.

Its a manual handbrake.

My mistake - its the flashing red information light that is on NOT a flashing red exclamation mark.

Suggest it is the Passive anti theft system and normal.
