Ford Ka 2011 - Glow plug warning light on petrol car

Ford Ka 2011 - Glow plug warning light on petrol car - Drivethru

The glow plug warning light has started to come on a few seconds after I start the car. It's a petrol 1.2L so doesn't have glow plugs, I've checked all the fluid levels and they are ok. Would I be right in thinking it's an electrical fault with the display panel? Thanks.

Are you 100% certain its the glowplug symbol.

Yes skidpan, the curly symbol, I checked it in the manual. The car has spluttered a couple of times before starting, I just put it down to the cold as everything else is ok with it. Don't know if that's got anything to do with the light coming on though.
