Ford Mondeo - mondeo radio - stevemart

Hi ive owned a ford mondeo from 2002 it was new then.I have not used it for the last 2 years but have now put it back on the rd.I have the correct radio code but when i enter it the radio will not accept the code.Does anyone have any ideas has to whats going on

Did you remember to press Button #5 once after entering the four-digit code to actually enter the code?

Help anyone! I changed battery of my ford mondeo and have no idea what the code is as I bought the car 3rd hand a few years ago. I tried removing the radio so I can get the serial number but it stuck even the guys at Halfords couldnt pull it out. can I get the code using the reg# and chasis#?

OK, 6000 is certainly the correct Keycode for the given serial number.

So, to enter, you've done the following:

Pressed Button #1 - Six times

Pressed Button #2 - Ten times

Pressed Button #3 - Ten times

Pressed Button #4 - Ten times

Pressed Button #5 - Once

Q1. Is this a correct record of what you've done?

Q2. Has the radio in your car ever been changed?

If the answer to Q1 is "Yes" and to Q2 is "No" then I'm afraid this does suggest that your radio could be faulty.

im thinking that the radio must have a fault.Thanks for your advice

Remove the security panel (preset buttons)and clean the contacts and re-fit and try again.
