If you know someone that does banger racing, they may tell you how its done?

You wont get anyone on the net telling you how,(assuming it can be done as its the later ECU, built in alarm/immobiliser)

The alarm/immobiliser system on Rovers can be overidden by entering a four digit code via the driver's door lock. Every car would've been supplied with a unique code from new, so check your service book and see if it's been written in there. As there are few, if any Rover dealers these days getting this information may prove difficult.

It should tell you in the vehicle handbook how to enter the code. Say for example your code is 1-2-3-4. To enter the code insert the key into the door lock and turn once to the left followed by twice to the right, three times to the left and four times to the right. Then unlock the car with the key and the alarm/immobiliser should be disabled.

If this or the remote fob doesn't work then I'm out of ideas.
