VW Polo 2003 1.2 - Fault Code Reader

VW Polo 2003 1.2 - Fault Code Reader - stuartl

I have an EML and ABS light on this car and would like to buy the software or code reader to read, diagnose and reset these codes but haven't got a clue on which one to get.

Any advice gratefully received!

You will struggle to find a cheap code reader that covers Abs systems

The paid for version is comprehensive and covers most of the major systems on my cars (VAG). It also allows a degree of customisation - I've altered numerous settings relating to light / wiper / locking behaviour etc.

Why not ask around on the VW forums to see if there's anyone local with VAGCOM?

Like elekie&a/c doctor says, you'l struggle with cheapo code readers.

I've done some tests with various generic scanners on my car with a known EGR, diesel heater sensor, and glow plug faults and only the Peugeot-Citroen diagnostic gear picked up the faults.
