Leon Mark 3 1.4 tsi technology - Seat Leon Mark 3 Headlights - geordie33

My nearly new Leon decided to take a trip down the drive and my drivers side headlamp got smashed.

Seat are the only suppliers of replacements and they cost £702.

A friend in the trade got me one with 10 % discount and I reluctantly paid up.

It occurred afterwards that these LED lights were an optional extra on some Leon specs and I was wondering wether I could have got a none LED instead.

I appreciate this would have entailed buying both sides and may not have been any cheaper but might be useful to know for future reference

Not quite as simple as that. THe car is 'programmed' for want of a better word, to use those headlights, various relays and control modules will be specific to that type of light.

Changing the headlamp units would most likely throw up a whole host of further problems
