Noticed a question today,'Mudflaps...are they worth it?'
Seem to remember this has been asked before.
Simple answer...yes. For protection of vehicle, others and personal. Please read your latest review of the 'new' Suzuki Vitara. Last comments... the sills get very dirty and all testers came away with mud on the back of trousers.
I think this one depends on the shape of the car. If the sills curve away inwards below the door, then yes, mudlfaps would be a very good idea. But many cars have a sill slightly 'proud' of the door, so that there isn't a problem for trousers - or indeed tights.
I have mudflaps as standard on my SUV but they only keep about 6" of the sill clean - you really need the flexible type that almost touch the ground to do any real good.
