Mitsubishi Shogun Sport warrior 2.5 diesel 06 - car horn stays on - mac66

the car horn stays on all the time when i turn the ignition on

so i have had to take the fuse out to stop constant horn

i have banged the centre of the steering because i thought the horn was stuck

please help

Possibly a fault with the wiring/contacts within the steering wheel. However,access will need removal of the airbag.

Yes, most inconvenient. I recall a car (yonks ago) which automatically sounded its horn when turning left. Confirms where the likely fault is.
