Audi A4 Avant - Convenience Control Unit - Sunpool
Just had my Audi A4 Advant (53 plate) into Audi dealers today, after diagnostics they informed me the CCU needed replacing at £600.82 notes.

Could someone please advise what I need to look for as I would imagine there are several CCU out there and which one is specific for my car.

Also where is it located on my car

Problems that are occurring is central locking not working off key fob

Thank you very much in advance

The ccu is mounted under the carpet/floor insulation passenger front footwell .It is not uncommon for these to fill up with water due to blocked drains under the battery compartment. However,if it is just the remote locking that is not working,I would be more likely to suspect the keys in trouble. The Ccus are all different, and even finding one with the same part number does not guarantee one working on all functions as they are programmed to the car.

They can be re-coded with VCDS to enable or disable functions. However, you will need some knowledge of hexadecimal (base 16) systems that computers use to enable you to successfully do it. You may find coding information on the VW/Audi forums. some funtions can be enabled/disabled by simply using drop down menus in 'Adaptions' on VCDS.
