Toyota Yaris - GLASSES OR CAP ? WHY IS THERE SUCH A DIFFERENCE - Barum

My local Renault dealer quotes me part exchange using CAP....it suits him because it seem that valuation are a lot lower than Glasses. Want is the point of Glasses if dealers pick and choose to suite themselves ? My Yaris is valued at £5500 with CAP and 6100 with glasses .... !!! Needless to say I will not be getting a Renault soon. With trhe seller making £2000 on my Yaris and another £2000 on a new Renault....I think they are taking the micky !!!

What value do webuyanycar give? Ignore the stuff about needing to supply e-mail and phone number on their website, enter any made up details and you will get a value.

At least that gives you a feel of how much you can get without the hassle of selling privately.

Don't get too hung up on specific trade in values, its the cost to change to the car of your choice thats the one important figure, however they might arrive at it.

Dealer offering a lower trade in might be offering more than the difference discount on the new car, or chucking in free servicing etc to sweeten the pot.

I have found the carbuyingservice offer better prices than webuyanycar, don't charge a admin fee and the money is transferred same day.

Why would you go from a Toyota to a Renault? Are you bored of reliable motoring?

I would have though it much cheaper to buy from a broker, and sell privately. We Buy Any Car give low values, not that that stops people selling to them. I suppose it is easy.

By the way, the dealer will just send your car to auction, unless it is in good enough nick to sell as an approved car.
