Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI 2006 - Exhaust gas temperature sensor - Dan25e

Hi folks.

Does anyone know how I could test the exhaust gas temperature sensor on my Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI 2006 plate? It sits in the cat/dpf box just after the manifold. I'm suspecting it could have failed as when I put a meter across it it reads open circuit. There's two wires on its connector, one receives 5 volts (from the ECU) and the other zero. Ideally I'm looking for a temperature vs resistance or voltage curve.

Ford want almost 150 quid for a replacement so if any of you know another cheaper supplier I'd be grateful.

A Ford-specific diagnostic check might be able to read live data. My Peugeot gear reads voltage, current and other readings from the sensor.
