Audi A3 - High mileage - Rusty1985

Looking at an Audi A3 2011 with 124,000 miles on clock. I would be doing less than 10,000 miles a year but is it a risky buy? It £8990, any help would be appreciated thanks

Seems too much of a high mileage car. You will be at risk of costly problems and when you sell the car down further down the road a 5-6 year old with 150k on the clock will still be high mileage and hard to sell.

Options are buy an older A3 or a golf which would be around the same money for a 30-40k 2011 car.

There are a lot of good arguments for buying a high-mileage car (provided that it's not a diesel) - but if I were going to, I think I'd want it to be either Japanese or a Volvo.
