Hyundai iX20 - Spare wheels - clavs

Your correspondent consideringa new Hyundai but was having doubts about spare wheels.

I had a Hyundai i30 Auto for three years and really enjoyed the car, in a very weak moment bought a Seat with the 7 speed DSG auto box and hated the box from day one, felt at times it was unsafe unless one was very very careful when pulling away, particularly on hill starts.

Only kept the car nine months and went back to Hyundai, purchased an iX20 1.6 auto and love the car and it does have a manufacturer supplied spare wheel.

Hyundai quality really is excellent and cars are very well equipped, my wife runs an i10 Auto, loves it and wouldn'tpart with it.

I am glad you like your car. The compromise being the the Hyundai auto gearbox is rather basic and won't give you much in the way of MPG, if smoother than a DSG.

The issue with a 5 year old hyundai was rust and thats a hard one to fix.

That was perhaps the case 20 years ago. Not seen a rusty recent Hyundai round these parts in living memory.

Financially strapped stepson has had 3 Hyundai Accents in recent years, dating from 2000/2002/2004, none had a trace of rust, all bought for well under £1000, none broke down, only changed for better cosmetics/trim.
