BMW 3 Series E90 - Gear - smilingdammy

I can't get in and out of gear 4 freely, it makes a sound when I force it through. Other gears works perfectly. I took it to a mechanic and he said my clutch is gone, however, if that was the case other gears will not work, therefore disregarded the mechanic. Please advice if you know what might be the problem.

When my E90 clutch went at 150K it was hard to get into 1st/reverse other gears fine.

I think i would get the gear linkage checked first.
