Vauxhall Vectra B - car wont start - frogmarch

hi ny mate has got a vectra b 1.8 and was driving along and stuttered and cut out now will not start , he said that before it was not idling properley and would sometimes stall could this be related thanks

Yes, it could be related, entirely possible.

This is, sadly, what happens when you have minor problems with a car and ignore them. Eventually they turn into (possibly) more major problems.

hi yep cambelt has snapped so put another belt on just to see but stiil wont start so maybe bent valves

hi reference to my mates vectra b we put another head on and is running but it wont idle properly feels like its hunting could it be the throttle body dirty or idle control valve , dont know what engine code it is but its 1.8 16v and got engine cover on where is idle valve thanks
