Renault Laguna 2 2006 - renault laguna 2 electronic hanbrake conversion - zzander

hi all

i have recently converted the electronic handbrake back to an ordinary lever handbrake on a renault laguna 2 2006 model

is there anyone out ther who knows how to re-program the car to tell it that it no longer has this function

therefor removing the annoying error messages apply handbrake etc

Congratulations.

Your car is no longer as it left the factory, so I assume you've informed your insurance company of the modification.

In addition, as the handbrake has now been re-designed by you, the car no longer meets EU 'type approval' which it previously had. Which means that every time you use the car, and if/when you sell the car, you will be committing a criminal offence.

The only people who could reprogram it - or rather who KNOW what to do are Renault.

I doubt they will want to help.. But if they do, I -if I were them -would charge you whatever I liked as they are leaving themselves wide open to being sued if anything goes wrong...
