New Deal - Auto Trader - Legitimate? - Dingle232

A friend of mine has put his car on Auto Trader and received a message with an offer code from the above that alludes to selling his car for cash from these guys. I'm sceptical.

I've never heard of it and wonder whether it's legitimate? Anyone know or had eealings with them?

I'd be suspicious of anyone that doesn't understand basic English.

I would contact Autotrader and ask if they are aware of this company, it could just be someone trying to trade off Autotrader's reputation.

If it really is part of the Autotrader stable they don't go out of their way to advertise it. I see no links from the official AT UK site. In fact the site specifically says that they do not buy cars.

Autotrader had a warning on their search results page earlier but that seems to have gone now.

As bathtub tom alluded to, 'newdeal' have a poor grasp of English, e.g. "... we will offer near asking price if your cars what we are looking for. If your wondering how we make our profit - its in the finance deal ..."
