skoda fabia - 2010 skoda fabia heater fan problem - ib33

My Father's Skoda Fabia has recently developed a fault with the heater fan. It will only work on the max setting.

Can anyone tell me if there is a resistor pack that controls the speed of the fan and any tips on how to change it?

Very likely to be the speed resistor ,a common fault.It is located in the heater ducting behind the glove box,which may need to be removed for easier access.
