Hi i find it hard to pull the gear shirt out of first gear.does it need oil.?

If you've got your shirt stuck in it, no wonder it's hard to move.... I presume you mean 'shift' and is it a Peugeot 206?

Can you engage reverse easily or do the gears crunch? If so the clutch is probably not fully disengaging, and so it may be time for a new one. There's no oil level plug on the gearbox on these so you'll have to drain the gearbox and refil with the correct quantity of oil to be sure the level is right.
