Vauxhall Adam - Vauxhall Adam wiring fault - Mrs Poshey
New Adam registered October, has got a electrical fault where the speedo and fuel gauge stop working whilst driving along. The car has been into vauxhall and has had various bits replaced on five different occasions. We have been without the car for weeks on end, car is still with dealer after four weeks they have decided to replace wiring loom! Part due in now in six week, so almost two months of no car. We have talked to vauxhall customer service to reject the car and have it replaced. Vauxhall have refused this as the work is covered by warranty!!! Thinking our next route is ombudsman. Is there any advice? are there new Adam owners out there with same problem or have we been un lucky ????

I can't claim specific expertise but I doubt the fault is serious enough to warrant rejection - and we don't have "lemon laws" like they do in some US states.

Presumably they are providing a courtesy car while yours is off the road ?
