KIA Rio - owners review - misar

I did take a look and noticed that owners either love it or hate it. I cannot remember another car on there where half the reviewers rate 1 (dire) and the other half brilliant (5). OK, one guy sat on the fence with a 3.

Any thoughts?

I did notice too.

But it ticks the boxes for me, Price/kit/ved/insurance and it's not abad drive either. I am one of those who likes the steering too.

We all have different expectations..

what would you rather have the kia 1 yr old for £7995 and nearly 6 years warranty left or a similiarly specced dacia sanderos/stepway for several £1000s more???

Yes it's a personal choice, chacun a son gout!

Being a very happy Ceed owner when we changed one of our cars 2 years ago another Kia was high on the list. We wanted a petrol but we still wanted a car with decent perforance and economy. Tried a 1.6 Ceed, too slow so thought about a 1.6 Rio, smaller car but with the same engine should be bette. Unfortunately they do not sell them in the UK so that was it.

As for the car itself it was fine. Only comments I would make are the poor rear visibilty (we could have lived with it) and the less than perfect rear access (again we could have lived with it.).

Have to say Kia do appear to have an issue selling cars with modern petrol engines (decent diesels though). Compared to other main stream manufacturers they have fallen well behind, such a shame after all the good work they have done to become a well established brand.
