psa group engine blocks - dieseldogg

Cos I know a bloke works in a factory in Carrickfergus wot makes engine blocks for the PSA Group.

It ud be proper funny if it warnt so depressing.

Porous blocks being filled with a Loctite product (held for other Loctite approved uses), most of the night-shifts production being only fit for scrap.

Only 2 optical scanners employed, and one of them solely dedicated to making sure the lables are stuck on straight!

Production Supervisor adament that his job was to maximize production, not ensure quality standards were met . . . that was QC's job.

Never mind the quality, feel the width!

Blocks not being pressure tested but sent on anyway, despite the contract calling for 100% pressure testing.

etc

etc

etc

Does this include the 2.0 diesel being used in the focus/mondeo?

Reads like the words of a disgruntled employee or someone with a grudge.

Without evidence its just hearsay.

Perhaps a copy to Peugeot for their comments would be useful.

Def not a disgruntled employee, more a bemused visitor, I do not wish to name names or be more specific to save the risk of any action by the employer.

Whom Obviously I could also name.

Not difficult to find the name of the Japanese-owned company concerned - 4th entry on a Google search.

Sounds similar to the stories my Dad told me of Petters when he worked there.

Still, it worked for them... :/

I've got one of their strimmers-it's a pile of t*ss, the devil to start and has about the same power as a small food mixer.

Maybe it's got blow holes in it's castings.
