Ford C-MAX Titanium - Timing belt change - Dave J2
My son has recently purchased a 2.0 Ford C Max Titanium, 08 plate, on 60,000 miles. Does it have a cam belt or chain, and if belt, when should it be changed?

If its a petrol its a chain.

Not 100% sure about diesels but think they are belts. Aagin not sure about belt change on diesels.

If in doubt consult service book or ask dealer.

But why do people buy cars without finding this out before parting with cash and not finding out if necessary work has been done.

If its the same 2.0L diesel thats in my 59 plate Mondeo then its a belt and only needs changing every 100,000 or 10 years.

It should tell you in the service book anyway.
