Mitsubishi shogun elegance - Strange noise rear/middle of car over 40mph - mboy123
This morning whilst driving kids to school, after 3 miles a strange grating/rattling noise started middle towards bsck of car when trying to drive over 40mph !!!! Nothing hanging underneath no warning lights in ! Any ideas guys ?

Exhaust bracket broken?

A number of things to check:-

As previously posted - exhaust hanger brackets broken/bent.

Heat shields around exhaust/fuel tank loose/cracked/broken.

Propellor shaft flange bolts loose - check this ASAP!

Propellor shaft joints worn.

Propellor shaft centre bearing worn.
