Ford Fiesta - Fiesta 96 Heater Blowers Come on Automatically - Scootez

Hi all,

im a fairly new driver and bought my first car which is a ford fiesta 96 encore 1.3.

its in great condition for age and drives fine.

The only issue i have just come up against, is recently when i start the car the blowers come on automatically event though the switch is set to 0 on the panel, the heating side is fine i.e. it warms up and cools down with the thermostat on the panel.

It sometimes goes off. ive noticed it seems to stay on longer the colder it is outside, not sure whether that is just conincidence though.

Can someone please help?

never seen this fault before.It is a very basic system fitted to this car.It can only be a fault within the switch or wiring.

would a normal garage be able to tell what the issue is?

I see the fault on earlier Fiesta 1987-90 the switch broke up inside and the terminals shorted, didnt take long to replace

Would you be able to point me in the direction of how to do this?

Or advise if it's something a garage can sort?

I'm not overly car minded.

If you are not car minded,take it to a garage.Can't be difficult to fix one of these.
