Cooking on engines - MJ111

Hi.

I think this is the right forum as it is directly related to cars. I just read an article on the dailymail about cooking on car engines and this young man has written a book about it. The pictures look very good but I just can't beleive that it works. www.carbecue.co.uk Has anyone tried it? Does it work? Does it taste nice? He says that it is a better alternative to eating in service stations. I've just bought one purely out of interest and then I think I'll give it to my dad for Christmas if it is a load of rubbish!!

Thanks,

MJ

I years ago drove a renault master, engine under seats,I used to lift engine cover and heat food on the exhaust manifold, even tried baking chops to go with chips for lunch, worked a treat,

never told the boss though even though they wondered where the smell came from lol

not sure there is enough room in modern cars to do it

Was it nice? Very interesting

Years ago, Australians had a device that would hold a container just behind the tailpipe so exhaust gases heated it.

Supposed to have worked a treat.

Yes I enjoyed it,and if I had a coast trip to collect parts I bought fresh fish and cooked it though that got a bit stuck to the foil.
