Daewoo Lacetti - PCV valve - are they called something else in UK? - hessodreamy

So I broke something on my Chevvy (Daewoo) Lacetti, which someone told me was the PCV valve, which looks like the right part:

But when I went into my local cara parts shop and asked for a PCV valve, they looked at me blankly like I'd asked for a giraffe in jelly. Is there some other name I should be asking for?

You'll probably have to go to a main dealer for it. I doubt an average car accessory shop will even know what you want and less likely to stock one as they are different from one car to the next.

PCV=Positive Crankcase Valve. And as already said, probably different for each car,let alone each model.

I had to go through a few parts shops and garages, but I did find a chap at a shop that knew what I wanted and ordered it for me. It's all sorted now.

Next time I break something on my car I'll make sure it's something a bit more mainstream!
