Speed Awareness - notmyname

Hi

Hope this is in the right place. Recently got flashed at 81 on the motorway i may be able to opt for an awarenss course, but I have done one before. I can't remember how many years ago, the letter says you can't do another in 3 years. I susepct I not going to be lucky here.

After some googling there is no obivous place to check online when i did the last course, where is this data held and who owns it?

What would be the consequences of taking another course if within the same period?

First time I got flashed in norwrich, did the course in london the latest is in Avon.

Any thoughts welcome

Surely the idea of a Speed Awareness Course is to stop you re-offending. Since it clearly has not worked its probably time for points and a fine.

Will hopefully work better and focus your mind more.

The obvious solution is to slow down but when you drive on motorways its obvious for a lot of people its simply not an option.

Yep, agree with Thunderbird, you need the points, sorry.

If you have had letter offering a SA Course and would like to take it up put the ball back in their court by explaining a previous course but cannot remember when. They should have a central record or maybe a DVLA entry on your Licence file. They shouod either accept or issue Conditional Offer (points permitting)
