VW Golf cabriolet year 2000 mk3 (mk4 front end) - Headlights - golfauto11

Hello there, got into my car last night and the dipped beam would not work. Everything else is fine, full beam, side lights, parking lights etc. Can anybody help?? All was fine the night before, this problem was sudden, no warning. Thanks.

Firstly,I would check both headlight bulbs.Dip and main are separate bulbs on these.If these are ok,then could be a problem with lighting switch.These were a known problem in their time.

Failed relay for the dip beam? When I had this problem I confirmed it by swapping dip/main relays.

Both bulbs probably blown, happened on mine.
