I've never inserted two CDs in a player before, but I have had units that would not eject the CD. I'm wondering whether your father's unit doesn't know there is a CD inserted as it has ejected one. In my fairly limited experience, there's usually a method for forcing an ejection by pressing and holding two buttons at the same time. Perhaps eject and power? Do you have a manual for the unit?
