Repatriation drivers

Repatriation drivers - draypoker
I have seen an article in the Observer (January 2002) about drivers employed to retrieve cars from the continent whose owners cannot do so, for any reason.

I would like to try this line of business. Does anyone know how to find the companies that organise it? The drivers are self-employed.

Normally, though, they 'pool' to a central depot, them take an artic loaded up ...
Worth a try... I did something similar here once, for a few months. city-to-city stuff. (also some wayward hire vehicles, found in Zimbabwe and Malawi!

The Observer article said it was individual owners rather than hire vehicles. Presumably it is part of an insurance scheme. The article mentioned two companies: Driving Force which seems to be an employment bureau. So far they haven't repleid. Also HS Drive which doesn't exist in Yell.com
