VW Sharan 61plate new shape - Spare wheel / space savers - Bandgeek6

Hi All

My VW Sharan dosen't come with a spare or a space saver "get me home" wheel.

VW say they do not list a space saver on their parts computer and tried to sell me a very expensive normal spare wheel.Any help greatly recieved

A trip to your local scrapyard for this. All you need is the size of the rim and the number of studs (usually 4 or 5), I'm sure most scrapyards would let you check it fits and with a bit of luck it'll have a decent tyre on it.

I bought a second-hand spare wheel (in my case a space-saver for a Ford Focus - my Titanium model was fitted with a full-size spare which took up a huge amount of room) from e-Bay pretty cheaply.

Though I can count the number of times I have needed a spare wheel on one hand - in many years and hundreds of thousands of miles - , I would not be without one, but a full-size one seems over the top.
