Vauxhall Vectra C - upgrading cd player - sloth

I have a 52 plate vectra c 2.2 turbo diesel, my cd player has packed up amd was woundering can i put a cd70 sat nav in, doNt really need to wire up nav as i have one on me phone, can i replace the cd player and screen for a new model?

Too complicated to fit a nav unit.Iwould think all the wiring will be different and then you have the added problem of getting it all coded to the car electronics to make it work.Even replacing the radio like for like will mean a certain amount of virginising of the system coding to make it function.

On modern cars the radio can be just a facia with buttons and a slot for the CD. All the clever electronics are then hidden away under the dash.

If its the hidden bits that have failed no point just changing the facia.
