Few things spring to mind, bulbs wrong wattage, poor quality aftermarket lamp made with inferior internal wiring/fittings.

Check all the above suggestions plus check the battery voltage with the headlamps on and engine running , if its over 14.2 volts it's overcharging-maybe the temperature compensation in the regulator is screwed.
