VW Polo 6N2 1.4 8v 2001 - Spark Plug Change Interval - csgmart

Having done a quick Google search and unable to find the information can anyone tell me what the recommended interval is (mileage) for spark plugs to be changed at please?

Every 4 years or 40k miles.Whichever is the sooner.
