Production ready Jaguar XE - oldroverboy.

Is this what I have been waiting for with the 2.0 litres low pressure turbo engine?

Here's hoping it's less faulty than the XF. My dad is on his second XF now, and is absolutely adamant that it is going before the warranty runs out.

Problems have included :

brake sensor faults putting the car into limp mode (twice), gearbox going into limp mode (3 times), car failing to start (3 times), engine failing to stop (car was stopped, but engine would not shut down, twice).

He's not having another one, lets put it that way.

How did he find jag dealer response? They are meant to be the best around.

Sorry to hear your dad had so many problems with his XF - when I had mine it ran it up to over 75k miles without a single fault in all that time. Best car I've ever owned by a long way.

We live a couple of miles from the Castle Bromwich factory so I will keep my eyes peeled for one of these out on a test run, assuming that where they will be built.

I frequently see various Jags driving around on test plates, often 2 or 3 in convoy. Before the F type-R came out I could hear one out on test before I saw it as it was so loud!
